Hotel Hermitage *****
Loc. Biodola
Elba island
Only eight kilometres from Portoferraio, in the most exclusive bay of the Island of Elba, the Hermitage Hotel was estabilished in the 1960s next to a beach with golden sand. There it nestles in the luxuriant Mediterranean landscape with its mastic, holly oak, arbutus and rosemary bushes.
How to get there
| From Portoferraio follow the signs for PROCCHIO; midway between the towns is the crossroads for BIODOLA. The hotel is located about 3 km from the above crossroads (8 km from Portoferraio). |

Today the hotel is a modern structure right beside the sea, rising up from the sand and the rocks and blending harmoniously into the natural beauty of the landscape. The Hermitage offers everything you could wish for in a recreational or relaxing holiday: a private beach with finest sand, a jetty, three seawater pools, a restaurant at the water’s edge, a piano bar, a small golf course with nine-holes, nine tennis courts and facilities for various games such as football, volleyball, bowls etc. The hotel is renowned for its high level of service and the exquisite cuisine it serves. The rooms, fitted out with all the most modern amenities, are for the most part located in small cottages surrounded by the lush green of the hotel’s own private park.
